question for the group does anyone know the usage of these "logistic channels " Im seeing traffic and or carriers on about 7 different ones mostly static from Berthoud although there are times when you can hear some audio are these portable repeaters or what?

These are generally used to link remote bases or link repeaters together. Yes, they are portable. They come to a fire in fiberglass containers and those are set on the ground as is. They come with short masts, coax and the appropriate antenna. Logistics frequencies are generally used for links. Quite often an AM aviation radio (also from NIFC) is set up on a peak and made into a remote base with a UHF frequency link.

I don't see high levels of CO for some reason, but lots of NOx.

If the weather predictions hold out, there will be a cool down starting Thursday the 8th with some rain. The weather here has been ungodly hot and dry. I feel like I'm in Vegas all over again.

I just noticed most of those aircraft are squawking 1255.
