It now seems the Shortwave Log PHPBB BBS is gone - the message on the page says that the spammers followed the owner there, along with other junk. I guess he's never heard of anti spam software and such. Sad to see that someone is willing to hound a guy to shutting down like that. 73s Mike

Well, that's just freakin' lovely! Now I'll never find my .m4a files!

I did get TK75 working, the tcl directory needed to be in C:\ not C:\Program Files\. Now I can fix all the aero freqs I had in memory that were programmed to ant2.

Listening to 10330 to see if AIR is audible today, I don't think they sign on for a few more minutes.

EDIT: I'm hearing a very weak carrier on there using USB but too weak for audio.

Fast forward to nearly a year later....

The Vividh Bharati service has moved to 9870 and for a while was clearly received here in the northeastern U.S during the local morning. However, nothing heard from them in the local a.m. time slot starting at 1240Z over the past three weeks. Anyone else hearing anything from them at any time of the day (or night)?

As for the GOS, with Radio Portugal (presumably) now on 11620 during the late afternoon (sometimes past 2300Z) with what sounds like endless soccer (or some other sports) commentary, AIR's GOS has all but vanished from my SW receiver at anytime of the day or night. 9445 sometimes shows up in the late afternoon, usually around 2200Z.

Time for an update. Is anyone in eastern North America receiving All India Radio on a more-or-less reliable basis? If so, would you please share with me the frequencies and times you're listening? Many thanks!

Also, isn't the summer schedule about to start on 1 March?

Jim I'll have to look through the NASWA Flashsheets - I know India is a favorite target, so it's likely there's something there. I will have to do that tonite after I stop running around. I'd also check the DXLD Yahoo group (yes, that's the group that feeds the popular World of Radio program by Glenn Hauser) to see if there's been any recent logs. Hopefully Portugal will stop with their soccer matches shortly...

Nice to see some digging into HF beyond the big boys...73s Mike

Well everything I've seen (2 months worth of NASWA Journals, and 3 weeks of Flashsheets) confirms your obs that AIR has been tough of late. Of course propagation has been cruddy with flux levels down in the 70s, it's going to be tough. Apart from 9445 which you've already mentioned, there's been a report or two of Aligarh 9470 at 1321 in Sindhi, and 9705 Panaji Goa at 2248, but very weakly. I also see a report of 9690 Bengaluru at 1420 in English.

When propagation doesn't help, a better antenna is usually what's called for.

Hmm, when does the new broadcast season start? Yeah, I think the A08 season starts in a month or two. As mentioned before, keeping up to date with references and clubs such as the DXLD, World of Radio and NASWA are the best ways to find logs. I understand there's a few HF broadcast Yahoo groups, and at least 1 or 2 IRC channels as well.

Lots of potential sources these days. Boy these weren't around when I was starting off...

[edit] I just looked this up - A08 starts at March 30
