alpha tag for radio id analog/digital

I have no notice on if you want to name a radio id example 32400 is Engine 1 and Dispatch is on 31999. On the analog it won't flash back and forth. On digital for example Dispatch comes on and than Engine 2 comes it will flash back/forth. Is there a timer on analog to have it flash faster to the ID?

I think this is all scanner-dependent. My 396XT and 996XT (and GRE PSR-600) follow the change in RID during a transmission fairly well. My HP-1 requires a new channel grant before it will recognize a different RID.

So far, I have not been able to get any of my scanners (Uniden or GRE) to display RIDs on conventional channels, whether I use the "single-channel trunked" trick or not.
