SDS100/SDS200: Alternative cable suggestions?

I was wondering if I could use just any USB cable that fits to power/charge the scanner, or is it just the one that came with it the best, I’m mainly looking for one with longer length so I can keep it within hearing range without having to turn the speaker to 15 to hear from across the room. TIA as always!

or a USB extension cord ?
some place had a 3 pack of 10 footers.
that way you use the original cord and don't have to worry about anything.
