On Valley Comm I keep hearing Amb Units (so far just 351 and 375). Anyone can tell me who they are ?

AMB: Ambulance(Aid, Medic).
I have always heard Aid and Medic units. These “Amb” units are new to me. Only started hearing them earlier this month.
Several Ambulance Companies are running EMTA's on all calls with Paramedics meeting them on ALS calls this could explain the changes in your area. It is cheaper to run the service this way.

Puget Sound Fire signed a one-year pilot program to lease two ambulances and contract staffing for them for 0800-2000 each day. PSF will then directly provide ambulance transports as the owner and operator of the ambulance service. RFA will be able to bill for ambulance transports and seek GEMT reimbursements for them.
Ironically. I was just about to post about this. I was getting my BP checked at a fire station and the FF told me that they are staffing TriMed units at select fire stations. Guess TriMed will also be on PSERN before we know it...
