BTW - As you know, 855.1375 is licensed to many sites in Ohio. I know you are in central Ohio. Are you quite confident that, based upon signal strength, the site you are picking is Etna? Just want to make sure since there are a lot of sites licensed for 855.1375.

It is a very strong signal for me and I am about 2.5 miles from Etna site. I plan to check on Facebook and Lynds Fruit farm DMR systems tomorrow so I will drive up to the tower in a couple hours to confirm

In a couple of hours? You must have a rooster for an alarm clock Ok, thanks. I appreciate it. I am sure you are correct. I am really just wanting to be as sure as humanly possible though -- It's such a huge system, and I'd really hate to see erroneous data get into the database so soon.

Some sites around here that started out with 5-6 freqs are down to pretty much two now -- the CC and one other active for voice (in the rare occasion that voice is heard). And down in OK, the only known active site (Leonard OK) had their RFSS-Site switched from 9.9 to 19.19. So who knows what kinds of changes might end up occurring over the next 3 years that could ruin everything that gets added to the DB anyway. But, I'm hoping to keep things as accurate as possible.

I don't know if your DSDPlus indicated all of those neighbors as being active or if one / more / all were isolated. But here is where they could likely be. And I know some readers might get offended if I suggest one of those as being Bellefontaine or Mt Sterling (already in the DB with other RFSS-Site), but given that the OK site changed RFSS-Site, ya never know if one of those two did as well. So I listed all of the license locations for each freq. Kilgore / Alikanna are in my area, and that's why I ruled them out.

I appreciate the accurate information as well! It is no problem for me to confirm. I did a maprad.io dump for "American Electric Power" into Google Earth and the next closest site for 855.1375 is Knox Co at 32 miles.

I am a little rusty with my DSD+ as I was out of the game for a while. What I posted was an exact copy from my CC-DSDPlus.events file and my DSDPlus.p25data file.

And, for anyone monitoring these sites, most of the sites are currently listing only one CC and will only show additional VCs if there is voice activity. So please keep an eye out for any additional voice channels. Any time you see talkgroup activity in DSDPlus / UT / Pro96Com, you should see a voice channel show up in the channel list.

It is/was for at least one site, but it was an invalid callsign. I don't use Pro96Com / UT so I wouldn't see it. Don't think/know if DSDPlus shows it. Reference: American Electric Power

But thanks for mentioning that -- good idea for people with UT / Pro96Com to see what the callsign field shows.

Actually I don't think any part of the 1F6 (Ohio) section of this system is sending out a BSI at this point. DSDPlus does log it in DSDPlus.P25data if it is broadcast - and it hasn't been broadcast on any of the active sites around me. The screenshot I referred you to before was probably leftovver callsign data from a previous control channel of another system that the user may have been tuned to before they tuned to that site with UT.

As odd as it might seem that 42 would be Zanesville (being heard from the locations you mentioned), i do recall years back when I lived in Jeffferson Co I could often pull in the Zanesville site (during tropo) when I could not pull in other sites around it. My guess is that it's fairly high profile.

Any active / pending AEP licenses only show three possibilities for 854.0625, and that is Saint Clairsville-Belmont, which we already know is online as 29-29, and Scottown-Lawrence at the bottom of the state and Zanesville-Muskingum.

Where is AEP Northridge ? Never heard of Northridge. I'm guessing some local nomenclature?

I dont know why I thought it was Northridge Ohio. I guess I assumed since I passed Northridge Schools on Northridge Rd the town was called Northridge.
