AnimeCon San Japan Convention SATX Sept 1-3, 2017

Friday night I was monitoring and heard all this radio traffic and was able to nail it all down in an hour.
The context and subject matter spelled it out and a google search confirmed the when, where and what.
Once I went to the official AnimeCons website they had an event floor plan to put a visual to their traffic.
S & P Communications in San Antonio rented the organizers dozens of LTR radios for this convention.
Industrial Communications is a big rental radio provider but it's good to see S & P in this market as well.
Good old reliable analog UHF LTR 2-way radios penetrated 3 separate concrete/steel buildings with ease.
Since the rental radio data was just discovered and submitted I am posting it here while this event is live.

Here is a link to the existing host LTR system https://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?sid=829
S & P Communications (Downtown) at 101 Bowie St atop the roof of the Marriot River Center hotel.
To monitor you only need to plug in these 2 LTR FM frequencies: LCN-08 463.5875 & LCN-16 454.6375
Convention Rental Radio Talkgroups were easily identified and verbally spoken out right over the radio ;)
1-16-150 A Rental Radio Main Channel Business
1-16-151 A Rental Radio Safety Channel Business
1-16-152 A Rental Radio HR Channel Business
1-16-153 A Rental Radio Private-1 Channel Business
1-16-154 A Rental Radio Private-2 Channel Business

So give it a listen and a grin :) Also, I posted the basic event details and their website link below:

Surprising you got them in analog. Most rental fleets have switched to DMR, and conventions typically use simplex which is almost impossible to pin down.

Anime con radio traffic is... amusing to listen to. You get a lot of kids who have never used a radio before, wannabe cops, people who suddenly think they're in Smokey & The Bandit, gratuitous use of "OVER..." I could go on and on. There are even some guys out there who cater to radio comms for fandom conventions.
