Antenna extension?

I have a BCD436HP. I can’t have an outside antenna in my neighborhood. I would like to possibly get the SRH77CA to suction to a window. What kind of cable would I need? SMA male to female? Thanks so much for help!! ~Lisa.

imho i dont think that will make any difference in reception. you need to be outside the confines of your walls at least . can you do it stealth ? maybe a mobile antenna hidden in a garden?

Other ideas include using an aluminum gutter as an antenna or a wire laying in a plastic gutter. With a tuner, hams have used these ideas to transmit as well as receive.

Put one of these in your window facing the direction of what you want to listen to (as pictured) -

... or any of similar other flat panel antennas. Yes, it works on scanner frequencies as well as TV. You'll need an adapter like this to go from the cable on the antenna to your BCD436 -

Rotate the antenna on the window for the clearest signal before you stick it onto the glass.
