I do not use guy wires, and have never had any issues. The antenna has been up for a few years. I figured it probably has about the same windload as a satellite dish.

The best sort of priority is Priority Scanners.. One dedicated for each interest, Fire/EMS/PD/Business/Amateur/Federal/Rail/Air/Schools/Parks.....

I agree. My HomePatrol II is essentially a scanner for my town's Fire / EMS and the Fire / EMS for the next town over and that's it. Not much else comes in on it. My other units are all set for different things.
