antenna instalation

I am interested in puting up a antenna on top of a roof where would be the best place to get a mast and other acessories etc?
your help is always appreciated

Depending on house is built its easier to sink mast in the ground and bolt to sofit trim which would be about 10' and put 10' on top of that. Because of water leaks generated by driving nails into roofing I would never consider that. Actually I have a 2 decker scaffold behind the house with a ladder and top is covered with a walk board. Best tower I ever built. Good Luck.

As gator wrote, it depends on how your house is constructed. I have a two level roof so I was able to attach two stand off's to the fascia boards, tying them into an exposed beam and then guy the mast to the ends of the roof. This is for a 30 foot mast. If you just want something like a five or ten foot mast with a typical light scanner antenna, a chimney strap mount as sold by radio shack would be sufficient.
