I was browsing the web, and I seen at Scanner Master they had the following antenna for sale: W-881 Super Gainer BNC Portable Antenna Does anybody have any information or history on this antenna and if it would actually do as described and actually improve reception or if it'd be a waste of finances as compared to the stock antenna? If anybody knows where this post should really be, let me know.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8830/4.5.0.186 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I have been using a W881 for many years with a 200XLT and now a PRO106. The difference is night and day compared to the stock antennas that come with most scanners. You won't be dissapointed.

The Ant is high up as possible, The feed line, best type westflex or rg213 & The shortest possible length.
Please remember all scanners are deaf on there front end.

if you use a preamp dont overload the front end of the scanner.
CHEARS 7& BEERS.
