Is a 2' Firestik a good choice for a 45 watt icom

For what band? For anything less than about 120 Mhz, it won't be very good. If you are talking about HF, forget it, it'd be terrible.

You continue to post asking the same question. You are moderated, we are not going to let the repeats through.

Now to your question, despite what LtDoc says above I am assuming you are referring to the 2 foot long Firestik CB antenna, since that is what the Firestik company calls their CB line. If that is the case then what it is good for is 27 MHz and that is about it. They make other antennas (none of them called Firestik) for other bands but it doesn't appear that they make one for UHF.
