Icom: Icom IC-761 question

I have both an Icom IC-765 and an IC-761.

The IC-765 has an “beep” when you press a button, the volume is controlled by a resistor pot on the main board.

iv’e been all through the IC-761 manual,and don’t see a mention of a th “beep” when you push a button.

Does the IC-761 not have this or am I missing it in the manual?

Have you tried downloading a PDF of the manual and searching for the word "beep"? Of course, the 761 is old enough that any PDF you find might be a scan and not a conversion from the original text.

I have both the manual and service manual for the 761 and have been through both.

I’m thinking that it’s just not a feature on the 761.
