I would like to mount a radio shack discone antenna for a scanner and a diamond x50 for a 2m radio on the same mast. Is this going to cause any interference? I will not be using both at the same time. Thanks for any help.

Yes true! But I have had the antenna for a few months. Should have waited to get it half off!
I gave one away for free...Never did like it for my scanner.
You will not have a problem. You will want to mount one antenna on the top and the other on the side with a stand-off. I've made stand-offs with angle-aluminum and u-bolts with great results. Good luck and have fun!

What do you recommend as a better choice for a scanner antenna? I listen to a wide range of frequencies.
