Hey all, I want to get an OTA antenna to pull in the local major TV networks stations. Mainly so we can watch local sports which are often blacked out on streaming services like ESPN+, etc.

We live in a townhouse and do not have a window facing the direction of most of the towers (we live west of Chicago but our windows are on the north and south side of the house) - we are a middle unit so to the East (towards Chicago) is another attached townhouse unit.

Here is my report from rabbitears.info - https://www.rabbitears.info/s/2039694

I cannot mount an antenna on the roof or attic (HOA) - and I don't really want to run cables through the walls - so, hoping either a leaf type (flat) in a north/south window would work or perhaps a set of rabbit ear antennas near the TV (first floor).

Hoping something like this will work: https://www.amazon.com/Circular-Tab.../ref=sr_1_27?s=electronics&xpid=yGEoIA6p861QF

Thoughts?? Worth a try? or will I need to have something outside? I saw this I was thinking I may be able to mount to the fence around our back patio - but still would prefer an indoor antenna if it would work well: https://www.amazon.com/GE-Outdoor-S.../ref=sr_1_26?s=electronics&xpid=yGEoIA6p861QF

Thanks

Depending on the conditions you may have between yourself and the broadcast station(s) it likely will need to be an outdoor antenna. If you have access to an area outdoors that is exclusive to your use, in most cases the FCC mandates that you be permitted to install an antenna to receive broadcast TV. This applies to HOA's (in fact, HOA's are the main reason for the legislation). A link to this can be found here. Installing Consumer-Owned Antennas and Satellite Dishes
