Range plot

Run VRS and setup plotting like this screenshot. Then click menu and receiver range all altitudes. Let it run for a while and see what plots. Should look like this other picture.

How do I get the plotting (green filled area around the receiver) to show up?

VRS range plotting

See the options page? See all altitudes? See paintbrush next to it? Click that and chose a color. Then exit out of options. Click the menu tab on top, click receiver range, click all altitudes a check mark should show up to the left of that.

If you have never run VRS let me know there is some setup steps. Youtube it I found a video pretty quick explaining it.

I followed your screenshot - see mine...

I don't have this though... Click the menu tab on top, click receiver range, click all altitudes a check mark should show up to the left of that

That's the issue I don't have that option...
I downloaded the version from the VRS site & the update check is enabled...
We're both using Chrome (I tried IE - no go)
This is my menu...

Is this a plugin or something similar? Maybe a setting in the main program itself that runs the server?

I have version 2.1.0

Cannot find any setting in VRS options to have that on or off? No plugin except my database writer.

You have gps in there for your receiver location?

Weird I just did a clean install and it's right there. Menu receiver range etc.

I have the same version.
I allowed the browser to use gps for my location when I ticked it on the options... if that's what you mean?

Joe on the install page of VRS try custom content plugin. I don't see specifics but might be what you're missing?

Unfortunately I can't seem to do the plotter for signal but FlightRadar24 has something similar in it's stats area on the website. I plan to post this tomorrow. However, I appear to be getting out about 230-240 NM. Which given my terrain is fantastic. I could only imagine someone with this antenna getting 250-300 easily if they were more elevated & more flat area!

Just based off my experience with this & also N9JIG I don't think anyone would regret this purchase.

I can strongly recommend this antenna for those looking for the best bang for the buck, without a lot of bucks!

I had one of these in my attic in my old home and it worked awesome. You will be very happy with the results.

Mine is going into the attic of my new home this weekend...

I apologize, I thought this was the DPD antenna. I have the DPD, not the antenna in this thread...

OK unfortunately I cannot edit out the posts!

However, I still suggest this antenna especially given the price! You might want to give one a try should yours go bad or something...

Last time I was in Kansas all I remember was flat. So flat you could probably watch your dog run away for three days.
The plot looks great! Two problem areas to the south but that may be due to airways and routes. Any obstructions toward Oak City? Could be just a low traffic thing. You will know for sure run it a full week. Any MOA's in that direction?

Looks good! I'd give that antenna A+++

Did you run VRS for my benefit? If you like I can send a file Operator logos? Send Pm.

LOL, yeah it's flat (Love the description!). I'm near the "Blue Hills" area of North central Kansas but the weird thing is we are in a valley here. I'm closer to the north hills than the south yet, it doesn't seem to effect it...

There are MOA's to the south namely Smoky Hills bombing range - could be others I'd have to ask Mancow he's really up on it.

Anyway, I watched for traffic & it seemed well distributed through the state. I actually have my ST2 to the north of this antenna & nothing to the south, east, or west.

I just looked again. I do have a couple long needled pines to the SSE of the antenna... Could it be a levelling thing? I did it by eye - Didn't use a level... IDK... Just guessing...

Yeah & I was glad to do it, but I like VRS. I just wish I could feed FlightRadar24 & use VRS also... Maybe I need to get a splitter/amp for this antenna also!
I don't have the files for the databases & stuff - it'd be great whatever you can share.
Thanks!
