any info about the richmond depot ?

This is a side project of mine i am trying to work on....so far the standard UHF setup of 406.000Mhz base/380 Offset/25Khz step size does not work in my Pro96...I do get IDs that will pop up but no audio and no trunk tracking...might try to work on it in a few and see what I can find out...

BTW: noticed that Fox National News had a story on the BG Depot the other day...I was suprised when I saw my little' ol' town of Richmond was featured nationwide...they were doing a seg on the $$$ cuts there at the depot....

this is what i get running the trunking program and data slicer through my computer The trunker program can tunck the system and
I figured out the frequency placement and seeing talk groups.
I see talk groups 330,390
but due to them being digital can't understand them
my pro 96 decodes the audio ok, but can't trunk the system

might take something a little more yellow than coffe to wade thru that system.... but i agree we are gonna have to sit down sometime for more than a few hours and figure this one out.... maybe sit at the golf course and see what we can hear.... i am wondering if they are using just enough power to cover the depot and nothing more....

Thanks Dave, that was the problem. I saw nothing in the manual that
said anything about needing it set to "table"

set base freq 406.1625
set offset 380
set step 12.5

I have updated it in the RR.com database....thanks for all the hard work Ed! It was good to talk to you on the phone the other night...We are still gonna have to work on that Scanner buff dinner some night very soon!

Update: have added TG ID 496 to the RR.com database...sounds like it is the main security "status" channel....also sounds like they are running a "hostage" training exercise on that TG ID....interesting stuff!

i spent about 90 minutes on the southside of fayette county (the other side of the ridge that runs south of athens-boonesboro road) and was listening to a lot of taffic on the bgad system.... a few unid talkgroups that sound like talk-arounds for the guards.... and a "headcount" tg.... will try to get south as often as possible.... thanx again for unraveling the system for us.....
