Anyone monitoring the San Jose PD?

I hear San Jose regularly from the North Bay. So much so that I have had to turn on CTCSS to hear my local agencies WITHOUT hearing San Jo as well. ANY radio that covers 460MHz will work beautifully.

Agreed. San Jose will overwhelm local signals in Sonoma County. As long as you're line of sight, which is about 50 miles in my case, you can hear San Jose with a juice can and some string.

So true, especially when I'm trying to hear Petaluma and it gets covered by San Jose State PD.

San Jose has added an "Astro" P25 channel, so if you want to be able to hear everything they say, you'll need one of the newer digital scanners.
