• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Someone has tried and the crc ignore option works for listening to audios from repeaters Motorola with RAS.
No matter how much I try, no audio can be heard. However, with a baofeng and OPENGD77 you can hear it. I guess it's firmware issue and it will be fixed.

1-yes it's a firmware issue
2-no the issue will never be fixed (Anytone doesn't deal with hacking)

OPENGD77 does and they do not encourage piracy.
RAS is not an encryption to prevent eavesdropping, it simply prevents access. It wouldn't be a problem if anytone did.

Make an appointment with the Anytone's CEO to share your point of view.

Alternatively, you can use OpenGD77 or Openscanner if you have a Uniden scanner. Openscanner supports RAS but also supports encryption (if you know the key).

I have a D168UV and there are some bugs in both radio and CPS. I monitor a RAS system using a ARC4 key and the ignore CRC function works backwards. If not using ignore CRC it works fine, well the decryption process needs to be improved a lot as it creates bit errors and in idle data mode it generates lots of squealing sounds as it false decode it as voice frames. If I enable ignore CRC it doesn't decode at all.

If a monitor a system that doesn't use RAS and have a Motorola ARC4 key it doesn't decode at all whatever the ignore CRC are set to.

It works fine with "normal" DMR systems that doesn't use RAS or are encrypted.

It would be a fantastic radio if everything in it would work as it was supposed to do.

What firmware version do you use, how do you have everything set up? If it's encrypted and the key isn't entered, it should at least be heard wrong.

I've used all versions, from 1.01 up to 1.05 and I have entered the correct key and TG for those systems and also have enabled all settings of the digital monitor.

I set the repeater frequency, the tg, the key id with the password and the monitor and I don't hear anything. Thank you
