AO-51 was shut off at the beginning of the month to attempt to recondition the batteries. Since then it had a software crash and the command team has yet to be successful uploading the software. They have said that the sat currently will not retain the flight software through eclipse and no return to service date has been released

Updates will probably be posted here: AMSAT - AO-51 Control Team News

They actually did a test of the repeater yesterday and had a good pass but with only 6 stations on the repeater. For now a command station has to turn it on and off manually to keep from damaging the already old and weak batteries. For now the uplink is 145.88 and the downlink is 435.150, do not TX unless you can hear it and the repeater will only be available when a command team member has time to turn it on and off. It did transmit yesterday at 2.3W so it will be easier to hear than ever if they keep the power output at that level
