Nope. But then I've only had my 5700 for a few days after spotting it 'previously owned' on a dealer's website. Price was about £1k below the retail price and it was advertised as very clean. On arrival, I was amazed to find it was as new, with all the leads carefully packed and two pristine manuals. No dust, no fingermarks. I don't know who owned this before me, but he sure was a careful owner.
I suspect he hadn't had it for long and that maybe he didn't have the knowledge to use it properly, as the frequencies/modes in all the VFO's were something you would never use and some of the VFO's had max NR and NB applied. After going through it and selecting more sensible settings it works like a charm.
I'm now trying to work out just how old/new this receiver is. Serial no is 09680363 and the firmware is 207A DBN0A P202A, but so far I'm not able to tie it down. I'm relieved that it has properly working firmware and doesn't need a trip halfway around the world!
