Soft reseted.Welcome screen comes up but no other activity is possible.Radio beeps every second or so.Any ideas?

My guess is the microprocessor or supporting circuitry has become "unlocked" and indicating so via the audible alarm. Send it to AOR-US and let Taka square it away.
