Looking back at the track of the balloon it passed within a block of going straight over my house.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.973 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I looked, a few minutes ago, and the payload was rapidly descending into the Med. (The reported altitude went from 48000 feet to 33000 feet in under 10 minutes.)

My guess was that the balloon ruptured, and the payload was parachuting back to the surface. It made a really nice flight.

Oh, whoops. I see there have been a 12, 13, and 14. If I had the $275+ to burn, I would launch one from here on the east coast.
