APRS Weather station on APRS 144.390Mhz

I have made a turnkey WX station kit that directly reports on the APRS frequency with the help of a cheap handheld transceiver. The setup consists of a main WX station board and tiny modem interface board that goes between the station and the handheld radio. The station itself is has a WiFi interface for local display and setup and can also report into Weather Underground, CWOP, WXbug etc through the internet channel. Power consumption for station and modem is between 0.2 and 0.4 Watt when WiFi is not active ,depending on the type of Wind sensors attached. See my Blog entry at http://wp.me/p3giB7-iP

If there is a wider demand for this I would consider build up a couple of these..

Direct APRS connection weather station

Take a look at this direct to APRS weather station, All you need is a cheap Baofeng handheld radio and a HAM radio license to send reports directly over the air.

I'm not aware of any stand-alone weather devices that are easy/simple to connect with APRS. That certainly doesn't mean that there aren't any, I'm just not aware of them.
You might take a look at the 'Byonics' site, he used to have a weather thingy for APRS, not sure about now. Not much help, sorry...
