Arc500 software ????

Hello , I bought the ARC500 Software from HRO in Atlanta a few years ago. I really like the software .
I use it to program my Radio Shack PRO 651 Digital Scanner.
Which has worked great together.
Here recently my old computer went on the blink and I had to buy a new computer.
I saved my scanner programming in a Flash Drive.
I took the ARC500 disk and loaded it into my new computer to have a blank copy of it in the computer.
I also re-installed the software disk for the Radio Shack programing cable into the new computer.
When I click on the Icon on my Desk Top to open the program I get a Tag that shows up now that says
(Time Restricked Demo Version).
I have never seen that before at all in the other computer . This is no Demo Version and I certainly dont want any thing to happen to all that I have programmed on the Software. Several years of work.
Which alot of the RR members here helped me get started and programming the Radio.
What is causeing me to see that Tag ????
I removed the software from my new computer and re-installed it but the Tag still shows up.
(BUTEL) is closed for the summer , I sent them an e-mail but it looks like it may months before I get an answer if any at all.

When you install the software, whether from a disk or downloading a new copy, you will get a 'demo version' indication.

At the time of your original purchase, you would have received a software key. That activates the program on your PC, and you would no longer get the 'Demo' warning. Try to locate the email you would have gotten from HRO, probably in an email, unless the key was labeled on the disk itself (or it's sleeve or case). It also may have been on your receipt, either in store, or in an email. The key has two lines. There is a link under the Help dropdown menu, Register, which is where you input the key. Once you locate, and enter, the key, you'll no longer get the Demo prompt.

Hello, hiegtx and TNX a bunch for the information.
The KEY was on the paper work that came with the Software just as you mentioned .
I did as you suggested and (BINGO) that worked .
No more tag.

ARC 500

Make sure you download the latest version from the Butel site. The keys will automatically be copied into the update. While that is a convenience for quick updating, it is probably the reason you didn't remember having used them at the original installation.
