I wish I'd thought about it about a week ago but I didn't..I just now thought about it, I have noticed that the National Guard here in Paragould and Northeast Arkansas this past week have been using two way radios in both handheld and mobile versions... Anyone know what or about what frequency range they might be on, I know there's a band for military but I can't think of it unless it's in the 200 range, Will it be encrypted or open mode transmission also?
Can anyone confirm or help on this? It's probably going to be pretty slow now but last week would have been a good time, Any help would be appreciated, thanks a bunch ya'll!! Hope everyone is recovering well....
Thanks, Brian

Did you try 27-75 MHz? If they are on the old system, it will be single channel WFM. If they have the newer frequency hopping system, you will be out of luck.

Lots of the Army NG's have moved [Nationally] to the 138-144 Band at 12.5 Khz Channels.

I heard them on AWIN last week in their convoy to the NE Arkansas area. I didn't write down the talkgroup, but I do remember looking up and seeing the text read "National Guard."

Arng & Awin

I have heard ARNG on the following AWIN TG's in Marion County.

4601 National Guard Ops
Heard them also on MAC Call and MAC Channels 1-4

National Guard Ops was a statewide broadcast and not area specific as in Troop areas. Heard units from within Troop I area on MAC 1 - 4 and statewide into Jonesboro on ARNG Ops and MAC Call.

At the start of this ice storm mess, traffic was heard fom non ARNG personnel on ADEM Primary channels and area specific channels such as ADEM NW

Also heard AR Forestry chatter related to ice storm on their Statewide TG of 5801.

At the time I didn't know who was on this tgid but kept getting hits on awins chenal tower 4602. All I heard was something about helping with traffic with some 18 wheeler trying to get through a intersection. Didn't hear any locations of where they were at. Later I looked on rr and saw 4601 as ARNG. So I presume its a ARNG channel of some sort.
