does anyone have accurate repeater information for the repeaters used across the state for skywarn? I had a local channel programmed in with what is listed on multiple sites as the correct PL which isn't correct. after switching to csq I was able to get the correct pl. for that repeater. just wanting to make sure I am adding correct information to my programming.

I'm not sure if they still do as I can no longer hit any of the repeaters on the linked system (one close to me removed the link due to some of the nonsense going on), but in the past the CAUHF group linked system would bring up a weather/SKYWARN net. Check RepeaterBook for that system. Looks like their site is cauhf.wordpress.com and it does have the SKYWARN logo at the top.

Perhaps someone else will come along. I've listened before but wasn't very impressed, but I won't go into why.

If you know a PL has changed from what is listed in places, submit updates to those various databases with that corrected info.

You may want to consult Repeater Book

The Arkansas Repeater Council is a good place to look, It seems to be more accurate than Repeater book or some of the others. Arkansas Repeater Council

CAUHF used to do a net in Central Arkansas and i believe CAREN (Central Arkansas Radio Emergency Net) did as well. I cant speak for Northwest Arkansas, but i don't believe anyone in the Northeast does either. Also the ARWX talkgroup on DMR Brandmeister is somewhat active.

You can listen to the Arkansas Skywarn Net on Allstar node 499601, On Echolink W5JDW-L

RepeaterBook or others are only as good as the data that is submitted. And who submits that data? Users like you and me.

So, if you know of some discrepancies between the real world and what a database shows, submit the updated information.

Sometimes uncoordinated repeaters appear in other databases but not the repeater council's, too.

and Repeater book has a nice function to see when someone recently VALIDATED that the repeater was still Operational vs just listed in someones on-line listing or notes from 1983 (when the internet was created)

i can't verify that it has in fact changed. I was programming in pl tones and noticed i was not longer receiving on 443.2 with the listed 114.8. after changing to csq it shows a pl of 151.4. this is a mixed mode repeater and i may be getting a little confused on programming. I pick up 443.2 better from my house than i can on 146.94.

It only shows that tone of the uplink (I.e. radio transmit side) and not that the repeater is transmitting a tone. So I’m not sure. I’ll try to ask around and see what others have to say.

Odd that you hear it if you program 151.4 tone though. Shaun, I’ll see what I can find out.

I asked someone who lives in Little Rock about the repeater and he confirmed that it is online and that the 114.8 tone is correct, as listed on RepeaterBook. It needs a tone on the transmit side of your radio only, though, and CSQ on the receive side (i.e. no tone on rx).
