I know Arlington Police, some talkgroups for Arlington Fire and Dalworthington Gardens DPS and Pantego Police are encrypted, but I was wondering if anyone knows what TGIDs they are using on the Fort Worth Regional Radio System for those talkgroups? I have heard several new unidentified talkgroups on the Arlington site that are in the clear that sound like they may belong to some sort of public safety agency and am trying to narrow them down to the city, hopefully by finding out what the routine talkgroups are and seeing if they are close in number. I frequently see the following ENC talkgroups that I suspect to possibly be Arlington PD 7063, 7067, 7070, 7072, 7081, 7261 since they seem to be very active in showing hits when my radio is in search. I have had several hits on TGID 7000 close to Rangers and Cowboys game days that seem to be traffic control near the ballpark and today, I started getting hits on TGID 7103, both in the clear. Also, is Arlington FD talkaround an encrypted talkgroup? I heard them switch over to talkaround today on a large fire scene.

If you listen on game days you will hear the APD stadium traffic detail, in the clear, as well as the team motor escorts and maybe some other groups. I think this is because they hire officers from other cities to work these details and they bring their own radios with them. Heard reference to talkaround on the Globe Life fire yesterday, have no information on it.

Arlington has 32 channels for events, they're labeled G1 through G16 and F1 through F16. I don't follow them closely, but it used to be that PD would use the lower number ones(1-5) and FD the higher number ones(14-16). Unfortunately, I think they're encrypting more and more of these, and FD is expected to be totally encrypted very soon.

As for the talk around channel, it may be another talkgroup, possibly encrypted, or it might be one of the 8Tac95 type channels being used in direct(no-repeater) mode. You'll hear FWFD do that often, especially in structures where repeater coverage may not cut it, or when they just want a discrete channel. It's common for fire department radios to have one of those easily accessible in their channel layout.
