I had a piece of equipment come in contact this the one of the ICs on the back of my Astron RS 50A power supply. I lost AC power to the power supply. I checked the 10 AMP flat fuse connected between the front panel switch and the transformer and it doesn't appear to be blown. I checked the AC 3 prong plug on the back of the supply and one of the power leads and the ground have continuity but the second power lead was open. Doses anyone know if the AC Power Plug on the back panel of the RS 50A has an internal fuse? I can't think of any other reason of why I would loose power through the plug.

Any information will be appreciated.

Did you trip the house breaker feeding the outlet? Is there 120 VAC + - on the outlet? I'd start there...

There is only a 10A fuse on the back for AC input and that fuse is in line with the power switch. Some versions have a power switch with a third lead for the internal pilot light.

With the switch turned on you should read some resistance between the two blades on the power plug as you measure through the power cord and transformer primary windings. Not sure of the resistance but its probably under a few hundred ohms. I have one and can measure that.
