I am gratified to own a scanner that has a built in discriminator tap. The problem is that as soon as I insert a plug into the headphone jack, the speaker audio is muted although I am tapping into the discriminator output.
How can anyone compare the audio quality from DSDdecode+ or any other program to the Whistler output when the latter is muted? It would have been a simple matter to have included one more opamp and a line level audio output using a 1/8 inch jack or an RCA jack so that the audio could be sampled. This audio could be sent a set of computer speakers or an equalizer to contour the audio to an individual's hearing. This can now be done using the headphone output but then the discriminator output must be turned off.
