When my scanner is on a channel (no scan), the audio comes with a pause every 2 seconds or so with the priority mode on. If I turn the priority off, the audio goes back to normal..

Is this a bug or is this just normal?

Its doing that because it is checking the priority channel every 2 seconds.

priority pause

The scanner will do the same kind of thing if you set the weather alert on as well. I forgot I'd done it and was getting frustrated when the scanner started skipping in the middle of a transmission.

weather alert

There wasn't an option to turn Weather Alert off, rather Alert Only, All FIPS, SAME 1-5. I have it set to SAME 5 and the audio delay is still there. What setting do you use?

You need to go back and read the manual some more. The WX Priority has nothing to do with the SAME alerts, nor the SAME alert menu. Selecting SAME 1-5 is only selecting the codes you have stored in SAME groups 1-5.

The WX alert priority flag DOES happen to be on the same window where you program the SAME codes in the UASD software.
