I can't remember if this was ever addressed before because I can't find it, but I remember someone saying that FFs Can activate the 2 Fire patches AFD and NFD is this true if so why doesn't a FF do it for the public to listen?

The NFD patch is always “on”. The talkgroups on SC21 remain silent till a radio affiliates to that specific talkgroup. Once the last radio leaves that talkgroup it becomes silent once again

Yep on my radio if LWFPD is in town, it shows up as " DUCOM" and I can copy their incoming on FD 1. I normally listen to Fire South on the VHF side.

APD units now have KenCom police 1 on there radios and can contact the dispatch center for mutual aid. I believe this just went live recently as this is the first time hearing them on Kendall frequencies
