DB entries/labels

OK guys once more unto the breach. Firstly, we add info as it is submitted via the submissions systems. A few of us glean also in the Forums threads. What we get submitted at first may not be 100% correct on switchovers/changeups new users etc etc. When you find an better description or usage tag for the listed that is more correct then please do submit it. As to our alpha tagging vs how an agency labels its tags on their radios... A lot of the times we try to use the KISS principles so a new scanner user can understand what is there, vs an seasoned veteran scannist, or actual user of the radio systems who has more knowledge of the data. For example: Pulaski SO may have thier primary dispatches listed as just P1, or Prime 1 P2 Prime 2 etc... They may have thier tactical's called Ops 1 Ops 2 etc, or maybe Tac 1 Tac 2, or maybe even have them labeled as Bubba 1, Bubba 2..... When we get verification of usage, and can get as close to how they name it, we use that. Whats going to be interesting as systems progress up to TDMA and TDMA progresses up from just 2 slots, to even 6 possibly.... And then you may see "official" labels of Tac B1, B2, B3 etc.. While you may hear over the air only.. "Going to Blue 2...." We depend 95% on submissions from you guys to keep our data as correct as possible.

Milf,

Do you want County Road Depts????

If so Miller County has just purchased the needed radios and is in process of changing over to the AWIN system.

Haha sounds good. I just found it strange that something that was to be used for emergency inter ops is becoming more widely used by everyone.

As local Counties and Municipalities find it easier to combine communications needs and also easier to convert to AWIN than tho build out their own systems, it changes the infrastructure of the network, as well as now providing more robust communications abilities for more users. And when they finally do upgrade to Phase II capabilities, it will allow even more users online. The primary design of AWIN was for State Level Agencies only to be on it, as the original AWIN Type II system was. This was opened to include mutual aid/interop for all public safety statewide to justify the monster being built out. This was proven feasible with the original multi City/County base system at the onset of the P25 era. And now that finally other systems are merging in, and several new sites are being built/planned to increase coverage/user load, the dreams of the planners is starting to see fruition.

Today I logged a new encrypted talkgroup on the Katies Knob site (#027) in Johnson County, via Unitrunker..

TG: 6413
Radio ID's: 8450604, 8450596, 8450597, 8450605, 8450577, 8450593, and 8450607.

This TG was active from 9 AM until just before 3 PM. Any ideas whom this might be? At least 2 of these radios also affiliated with ASP Troop J Dispatch and Troop A Southside, but did not make calls on those groups.

You know, I think DOC is still looking for that escapee from Pine Bluff Diagnostic Unit. I heard they were looking in and around Logan County, so that could well be it.

Been hearing TG 2691 a lot the last few nights. I don't think that's really ADEM SW5. Anyone else hear them?

It is ADEM SW 5.... But apparently, there is some not quite tight as usual usage on the little used 5's??? On the ADEM Regional that see frequent usage, 1 - 3 you won't be seeing non emergency type use.

Willing to bet it is one of the channels lrpd uses for bs

I'm pretty sure LRPD can't just decide to use another agency's TG/channel "for bs" when they want to...

If it was random traffic from somewhere that sounds like what we were hearing up in the Batesville area a week or two ago on another ADEM channel...sounded like they had it linked with a TG that another department was using.

What I've been hearing is a few different guys and they mention in the area of Chicot in Little Rock. They also talk about arrests they've made. Last night they were talking about how long it took for them to be dispatched to a home invasion and that it's because not having enough cars for everyone to be a 1 man car. Pretty sure that's not ADEM.
