The 284xx talk group range is used by SC EMD. Currently only 28401 SCEMD Alert has been identified. No other EMD talk groups have encryption so it is possible to be someone else but not bblv as they have talk groups already under Lexington county and they are in the Lexington county talk group range. I’m also still hearing them on there uhf repeater.

Thanks for the info however i would still believe them to be in the Lexington co range. ill set my scanner to monitor unknown talkgroups to see what i find. It's possible but pal800 usually sticks to the talkgroup layout by county.

I believe Batesburg PD is on 800MHz. Talk group 28456. That talk group is the big E.
I'm wondering if you meant 24856? This talkgroup is active on the Lexington County site and is encrypted. It would fit in the appropriate TG range for Lexington County.

I'm getting it as well and the talk group and rid's match Bates-Burg PD.

24851 - BLV FD 1 is still active and in the clear. The FD 1 and PD 1 talk groups for Lexington county are internal channels for agencies as most use the shared talkgroups except BLVPD,WCPD,CAPD/CAFD. 24852 is currently still a valid TG and in my agencies radio's as BLVPD MA and is programmed for clear no encryption. 24856 is a new TG and as stated is fully E. Currently my TG's for Bates-Burg Leesville are

24851 - D - BLV FD 1 (Internal)
24852 - D - BLV PD MA
24856 - DE - BLV PD Dispatch
