I was just out at lunch monitoring that in the car. Sounds like they're looking for a bank robbery suspect. They were out last night in Gloucester county in the area of Cohawkin Rd looking for someone too. Found them later in the night.

I am not getting anything on that TG (35888), but all the Readington Comms are coming over on 35059. Problem with my scanner?

Are you hearing comms on B2/8 35888? If so, it must be something with my scanner as I am not hearing anything on that TG.

35891=35888 (B2-08) +3
35059=35056 (A1-08) +3
+3 indicates the patch status bit, that the base talkgroup is patched with another.

So really you are receiving B2-08. Try changing your scanner's Status Bit setting for it to show up at 35888.

I'm on its fringes now but I think Somerset TRS is also good listening.

That did it! Why did it only effect the TG, because it was patched? Should I set to Ignore Status bit for all my sytems?

Thanks for your help!

Nevermind, I answered my own question by reading the wiki. I will ignore the status bit on all the systems be be sure not to miss anything. Again, thanks for your help. I learned something new today.

Yes and it's up to you, respectively. Follow the link I provided to see what the other status bits represent. You may ignore status bits for all Motorola systems if you like, or don't and program them in as a separate talkgroup. For example, 35888 as "B2-08 ICP", 35889 as "B2-08 ATG", 35890 as "B2-08 Emerg", 35891 as "B2-08 Patch", so on. Some systems may not use the +1 bit, some may have radios switch to an emergency group instead of using +2 on the current talkgroup, so on. Obviously programming them in separately results in many, many more "talkgroups" in your scanner.

Somerset County's main prosecutor TGID is the hot one for the county system - they've got a full SWAT deployment going on from the county end.

They are still looking for the 3rd suspect (who has lost a shoe, at last report).

Update - How many other of you guys notice that half of the SWAT guys on the teams sound like utter crap? First I thought they were patching digital into analog, but it seems the mic's they are using are to blame...

Thanks for sharing the feed. The Hunterdon county-wide freqs boom in loud and clear here in Middletown (Monmouth County). But I can't get the Somerset system here. Thanks!

Guys,

The SWAT guys on the ground are using throat mics - I thought they had better audio than what I'm hearing (the requests from the supervisors at the command post to constantly 'repeat again what you just said' is getting a little silly...).

I really hope they catch this last guy...
