I have had the only frequency (45.480) I could find for Babylon Village programmed in all of the scanners I have owned over many years but I can’t recall ever hearing anything. It’s listed as being Babylon Village Ops. Has anyone in the area ever heard any traffic on it ? Does anyone know of any other frequency they might use ? They always have a couple of Code Enforcement officers on the road and their DPW are usually out on the road 6 days a week so I’m sure they must be communication somehow. They are not on the Suffolk County system.

Thanks for the fast response. Babylon Village and the Town of Babylon are separate municipalities. The Village is within the Township but they are separate. The village does not operate on the towns system.

Oh ok, wasn't real clear on the internet or the database.

If they are a small village, then in this day and age probably just use cell phones.

They are listed as 45.4800 85.4 PL

Is this their system? Maybe it’s village talk groups and not town? If you can verify then we can correct the db if it needs an update

That’s the town of Babylons system. The village does not use the towns system. I do know a retired village employee but he couldn’t answer the question. He said they all have radios but a private company took care of all installations and maintenance and he never saw them to ask what frequency they used.

That's good news. I was hoping to verify that the TRS was for the Town and not the village. Sounds like it is correct in the DB.

If they went on a private system, maybe they jumped onto the OneVoice or Suffolk County Communication's Systems?

They are not on the Suffolk County system. I know they’re not using cell phones , all the trucks & cars have radios , I don’t know what kind but they all do have radios in them.

646 in db has been Town of Babylon along and only Town of. Only really activity is the senior vans.

Pretty sure village was on dmr a few years back. I will do some digging tomorrow and see if I can find the info I had for them.

Tob has had the trunked system for so long with so little tg,s. Guess it was cheaper for town ps, code and bay constables all operate on 3ce.

Took a quick Look and can’t find specific village related. If you have a uniden and vehicle, take a drive to their building and turn on close call.

And can you scan this freq (453.3125) and let us know if its active, its on village fd license.
