BC346XT: Backlight Question

Hi,
I want the backlight to illuminate every time a transmission is made. Is there a way for this to happen?

Under the backlight settings, is squelch listed? (the 346 is not one of my strong suits and that's one of the models I don't have)

There are four settings. You can set them using Sentinel.

Sentinel - Display Option - Backlight

Squelch Light:

Off
5 seconds
10 seconds
Open Squelch

Set it to OPEN SQUELCH. That should take care of what you want.

Menu>Settings>Set Backlight>Set Mode>Squelch> [The backlight turns on when the squelch opens then stays on for 5 seconds]
