Hi all, I am in York PA and just playing around with the SDS200. Programmed the Balt City system and actually get an ok signal (3 bars). I know the NAC for the system is 390 and that shows. What I would like to know, if anybody knows, which tower would 390h be. Thanks to anybody that knows.

ok, thanks. So for ID purposes, I'll just label the site with the tower that is closest to me. Just something I do rather than just letting it labeled simulcast.

The site closest to you is a subsite of the same simulcast site. There is only 1 simulcast site for Baltimore City. Every subsite transmits the same thing on the same frequency at the same time. That is why scanners other than the SDS100 and SDS200 have problems with simulcast distortion. I see 9 subsites for Baltimore City. The signals from the subsites arrive at your scanner at slightly different times. That degrades the ability of the older scanners to properly decode the control channel, resulting in missed transmissions, dropouts, and garbled audio. The SDS scanners were specifically designed to receive simulcast systems. One site NAC covers all of the subsites,

I have the subsites plotted back in my office; I can send you the kml / cordinates / street addy if you want them. All available on the fcc and rrdb website if you’re good at researching.

Or just look at the site details in the RRDB, where there is a mapping of the subsites...
