Just before 1300 today (Sat. 9th) one of the Baptist Air Care ground trucks was involved in a 10-50 P.I. while enroute from Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury to WFUBMC is Winston Salem with a paitient on board. Accident was at the intersection of North Fulton Street & West Innes Street in the downtown area of Salisbury.
Initial reports indicate that there was very minor damage to Air Care's unit, unknown amount of damage to the other vehicle(s) involved. The Air Care crew was ok but had Rowan EMS dispatched to transport the Air Care crew and paitient the rest of the way to Baptist. There was a second unit as well as the EMS Operations / Shift Supervisor dispatched to care for the paitient(s) in the other vehicle.
Responding agencies included : Salisbury Fire Department (Quint 1), Rowan EMS (Medic(s) 851, 852, and Supervisor 870), Salisbury Police Dept (Traffic Unit).
