Is the basic privacy encryption of Motorola radios compatible with the Retevis RT3S radio? I have a Retevis RT3S but I can't communicate with a digital frequency that uses Motorola Basic Privacy. I know the key and even after configuring everything I can't even listen or speak on the frequency, but they told me it was compatible, now I'm in doubt.

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

When you download the.zip file if you take the trouble to open it, you will find a manual in several languages that explains how to install the firmware and how to use it.

Hi all, I got a TYT MD-UV390, trying to program it to a MOTOtrbo system that has a BP key. Saw a lot on the Internet about using the Hex Value, but didn't seem to work for me. Did anyone ever figured that out? Any help is appreciated!!
Most CCRs (Cheap Chinese Radios) don't usually care about RAS, as far as receive is concerned, but not sure about this radio specifically.
