I bought a Nitecore Digicharger D2 from Battery Junction years ago after I switched to Li ion cells from NiMh cells and it's worked great. I wanted another charger after I got some Eneloops to go in a trail cam that used 8 AAs and ended up buying a Xtar VC4 from Amazon after reading some bad things about both Nitecore and Battery Junction. But after using the Xtar charger for a while I'm thinking I made a big mistake. It's supposed to charge both Li ion and NiMh cells without any input but has started charging some of the Eneloops as Li ion cells and stopped charging some Eneloops at 1.3V - and the Nitecore charger was able to finish charging them without a problem. Has anyone else had similar problems?
At this point I'm leaning to buying the 4 bay version of the Nitecore and stop using the Xtar charger before it catches on fire. In reading more reviews on Battery Junction I keep reading about how they're not as reputable as they used to be in addition to conflicting opinions from some of the long term posters on Candlepower Forum. I also came across the Nitecore store but don't know much about them beyond what I see in their website. Anyone got any opinions on a source to buy from that's not Scamazon?
