what are the BBC news frequencies?
I know that they are slit up to different regions
I think I am in the Caribbean region, I hear on 6.00 MHz at night, but I dont think its BBC
I scan at night but cant hear anything that sounds like BBC
BBC is the main reason I wanted a shortwave radio

The BBC no longer broadcasts in English to North America but you may be able to pick up beams to other areas at least for awhile. A more convenient solution is simply to use their website and listen there. You can get the latest news "on-demand". They are also carried on the two main satellite TV services and on satellite radio. I've listened to the BBC news for over 40 years. I must say though, that their newscasts are not nearly as objective as they were a couple of decades ago.

In addition to Prime Time there are a few other sites that offer downloadable schedule information - you can find them in our SWL wiki (link below).

The big difference is how often they are updated. If you really want to keep ahead of the changes, you should subscribe to the DX Listening Digest Yahoo group hosted by well known DXer Glenn Hauser. He frequently posts these kinds of changes. 73 Mike
