If you don't need trunk tracking or alpha tags but want it mostly for conventional scanning and 800 mHz coverage, it's a fine scanner. WalMart has it for $99. The most important thing is what systems are in your areaa though. You can check at the RR database and find out. If they are mostly rtunked or digital, this is not the scanner for you. If they are mostly conventional, you'll be fine.

i have the 350a, which is basiclly a 350c without 800mhz. my area has no trunking except for state police and thats what my bct8s for, and no digital, so if theres no digital or trunked systems in your area, i would recommend both to anyone :D

I had the 350C briefly and it worked just fine. As the others have said, it doesn't do trunking, doesn't do digital, doesn't do alpha tags, doesn't do CTCSS/DCS, and doesn't do computer programming.

It does come with an AC adapter, a DC 12V car adapter, a mounting bracket, and a suction cup wire antenna. Uniden sure has Radio Shack beat on included accessories! :D

For $99 it works great as a local monitoring tool, provided you don't have the need to change frequencies all the time. Adding an external mobile speaker gives the audio a little extra punch.
