BC 780XLT Question

Just bought one off of e-bay about a month ago, absolutly loves this
scanner.
What was the latest version of firmware before it was discontinued?
Can the firmware be up-graded as the newer scanners are capable of?
If so where can I find it?

I notice that it is missing some pl tones in its list that the radio contains,
was this one of the flaws in the earlier firmware version?
