BC 796D in closed mode

How do I program the BC-796D in closed mode with the included software?

I don't want to lock out all the TG's i don't want to hear, I'd rather just enter the ones I want to hear.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure about using the included software, but, just pressing the <Scan> button will do what you want. The display should change to "ID Scan" from "ID Search".

"Closed mode" is a Radio shack scanner terminology.
ID Scan is for scanning programmed IDs and ignoring the rest. As Lou said, hit SCAN to enter that mode. You must, of course, program in the IDs you want.

Couldn't help you with the included software though, it is generally regarded as garbage.
