Bc246t help!

Hey Guys, I have a BC246T Scanner and i lost all of Fremont & Newark, California (Alameda County).Police & Fire Calls. Did they change their Frequencies or System? If so, how do i re-program my scanner to receive them again? Your help is much appreciated!!

They have just rebanded that system.
You will need to apply the Version 2.60 update for the BC-246T radio:

Then you will need to reprogram the system(s) as Motorola 800 MHz Type II custom and program in the special Band Plan for 800 MHz systems. The ARC-246 Software does support programming rebanded Motorola systems, however the Uniden BC-246T UASD Windows software does NOT support programming Custom systems.

Insofar as freeware is concerned, FreeScan does support the 246, and we carry it's user manual in our wiki.

In addition, to apply the firmware fix (and for any of the other software that works with the 246), you will need a USB-serial converter.
