BC246T Pros and Cons

I`v got a BC785D now and i`m looking to get another handheld. So i`m looking at the BC246T,
I need input on the pros and cons of this scanner.

It is an analog only scanner, but it is one of the best Trunktracker III radios available in it's size. Full computer control and Close call round out the best features after trunktracking.

Another option is the BR330T, but it has been discontinued, so if you want one you better act fast. It adds wide band frequency coverage, race scanning, and Fire Tone out to what the 246 has.

I have a 246 and adore it. There's a few things I wish the 246 has that the 330 got instead:
Lighted keypad,
search during scan,
third battery.

If I were buying now, I'd get the 330.

I agree , absolutely LOVE my 246T BUT wish it had the search MOT systems feature like the 330.I think the 330 shows control channels and I wish I had that in the 246T , NICE SCANNER the 246T is for the money. Well worth the price.

Another "con" is the 246 doesn't show the frequency and talkgroup id along with the alpha tag for each frequency and talkgroup your scanner locks onto.

One reason why I'll never give up my 250's an 785.
