It will Receive the 800~900 mhz band with cellular portions blocked. However it will not track TRUNKED RADIO. It's a basic no-frills table-top scanner. If who ever you want to listen to isn't using Trunking, then you should be pretty good to go. If they are using trunked radio then you're not going to get much use out of that baby.
