Yes I've been reinstalling/reprogramming all day. Tried to update with both 25 cards and nothing same error. Checked all the comm port settings on both scanners and computer, nothing. Not saying I'm an expert or I didn't miss something but the scanners work fantastic with the 96 card. Is it really that common for these to be defective? and for both to be? Why does it decode when I search frequencies conventionally then? Considering the scanner itself tracks the control channel then the scanner should track fine with a 25i card.

Guess I'll just let it go, just would've been nice to have an extra P25 tracker in the house.

Here's the error I keep getting

....What's killing me is people before have said that it's literally the same card just with different "labels".
Yeah, i hear ya there. I think it was actually UPMan that said they were the same.

That error message seems familiar in a old foggy part of the brain way. I am sure I saw somebody with that several years ago. Maybe a search will turn up something.

I can confirm that the Bci25 card does NOT work and decode in a 796 scanner. They are different cards because as soon as i put the 96 card in it worked fine and decided the talk groups. I am referring to decoding a P25 system, the old Apco25 worked fine with both.
