Control Channel Only Mode for the BC296D
1. Press Menu, then Press 2 twice
2. Using the scroll or vfo knob, select a Bank.
3. Press E then Press 1 two times.
4. Using the scroll or vfo knob select the Trunk Type i.e. Type2 800.
5. Press E four times
6. Enter the Control Channel frequencies.
7. Press E.
8. Press Menu four times.
9. Using the scroll or vfo knob, go to CNTRL ONLY
10. Press E
11. Using the scroll or vfo knob select a plan **
12. Press E.
13. Press Scan then Search
14. You should now be in ID Search mode
15. *Press Scan if you have talk group id’s programmed
Note: Most systems have more than one Control Channel,
which could change at any time.
Select desired plan according to your system layout.
**PLAN 1: Use Plan 1 if the last three digits of ALL the frequencies in use end in one of the following digits: 125, 375, 625, 875 (example: 856.1125, 860.7375, 859.6625, 866.8875).
PLAN 2: If the last three digits of frequencies less than 869.0000 end in one of the following three digits (125, 375, 625, or 875) AND if ANY other frequencies end in (000, 250, 500, 750) use Plan 2.
PLAN 3: If the last three digits of ALL the frequencies in use end in one of the following three digits (000, 250, 500, 750) use Plan 3.
PLAN 4: If the last three digits of frequencies less than 866.0000 end in one of the following three digits (000, 250, 500, or 750) AND if ANY other frequencies end in (125, 375, 625, 875) use Plan 4.
*Only if you have talk group id’s programmed.
